We are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable independent motor trade business for the position of Branch Manager at their Bournemouth location. This role provides a unique career opportunity for experienced automotive Branch Managers seeking to lead a busy and expanding operation.

• Competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum
• Performance-based bonuses, with an estimated OTE of approximately £48,000

Duties:

• Oversee daily operations of the Bournemouth branch, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards
• Manage, motivate, and develop a team of technicians and support staff as a Branch Manager
• Act as the primary customer-facing representative, fostering strong relationships with clients and suppliers
• Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Implement and oversee operational procedures to optimise workflow and organisational structure
• Monitor team performance, providing leadership and motivational support to achieve business targets

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a workshop controller, master technician, or managerial role within the motor trade
• Strong mechanical knowledge, ideally with a background as a time-served mechanic
• Excellent people management and communication skills
• Ability to oversee work quality and lead a team without being primarily technical on a day-to-day basis
• Sound knowledge of heavy mechanics and diagnostics
• Skilled at providing exceptional customer service and representing the business professionally
• Approachable leadership style combined with organisational and motivational abilities
