Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Care Home Cooks to join our agency pool and support a residential care home in Ely.

This is a flexible, ad hoc agency role, with shifts offered based on the client's requirements and your availability. Both early and late shifts are available, making this a great option for experienced cooks looking for additional hours, flexible work or shifts around other commitments.

Duties will include:

• Preparing and cooking fresh meals for residents

• Following planned menus and portion requirements

• Catering for allergies, dietary requirements and modified diets

• Ensuring meals are prepared and served to a consistent standard

• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen

• Completing food safety and hygiene checks

• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering when required

• Ensuring all food is stored, prepared and served safely

• Liaising with care staff regarding residents' dietary needs

We are looking for candidates with:

• Previous experience working as a Cook or Chef

• Care home, healthcare or similar catering experience preferred

• Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety

• Confidence catering for dietary requirements and allergies

• The ability to work independently

• A reliable and professional approach

• Flexibility to cover early and late shifts

• Availability for ad hoc agency assignments

A recognised Food Hygiene qualification would be desirable.
