Cook | Care Home Chef
£28,080 per annum
40 hours per week
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client, a luxury nursing home in Whitchurch, is currently looking to recruit a passionate Cook to help provide nutritious and diet-sensitive meals to their elderly residents.
The Role
- Cooking & Meal Prep: Prepare nutritious and satisfying meals for residents, supporting specific dietary requirements such as IDDSI (International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative) frameworks and cultural or religious needs.
- Leadership: Work alongside and deputise for the Head Chef in their absence, helping lead the kitchen team and maintain a safe working environment.
- Resident Engagement: Liaise directly with residents and participate in resident dining experience committees to ensure satisfaction.
- Hygiene & Compliance: Maintain high kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards to ensure readiness for Environmental Health Officer (EHO) inspections.
