Design Engineer - Highways, Hertfordshire
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our Client for a Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of highway schemes across Hertfordshire.
You'll work closely with senior engineers and delivery teams, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of highways projects in a collaborative and supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their engineering career within a major highways service contract.
Key Responsibilities
andmiddot;Supporting highway design and the preparation of technical documentation
andmiddot;Assisting with project planning, coordination and delivery
andmiddot;Ensuring designs comply with DMRB, TSRGD, CDM and local standards
andmiddot;Coordinating with internal teams, clients and statutory bodies
andmiddot;Supporting cost estimates, risk management and programme updates
What Our Client Is Looking For
andmiddot;Experience or a background in highways engineering or infrastructure
andmiddot;A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field
andmiddot;Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
andmiddot;Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset
andmiddot;A willingness to learn and develop within a structured team
