HVAC Project Engineer
Job Description
A specialist manufacturer of bespoke HVAC and engineered mechanical systems is looking for a Project Engineer to manage technically complex projects across defence, marine, offshore and energy applications. The role will take ownership of the engineering and technical delivery of projects from initial concept through design, manufacture and final close-out, working closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing and quality teams.
Responsibilities will include producing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and design documentation, maintaining Bills of Materials, verifying component certification and ensuring designs meet project requirements and relevant standards. You will also coordinate directly with clients and suppliers throughout project delivery, supporting technically demanding engineered-to-order HVAC projects.
Requirements
Experience as a Project Engineer or similar within a multi-discipline engineering environment
Strong understanding of engineering design, technical documentation and project delivery
Experience producing or reviewing engineering drawings using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Able to interpret technical specifications, drawings and customer requirements
Experience producing and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and project documentation
Background within HVAC, mechanical engineering or engineered-to-order manufacturing preferred
Experience coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, clients and suppliers
Exposure to defence, marine, offshore or energy projects would be advantageous
Knowledge of hazardous-area equipment, ATEX or IECEx requirements would be beneficial
Able to manage multiple projects and technical priorities simultaneously

Salary £45,000 - £50,000
