Are you a technical, decisive Maintenance Manager who enjoys driving team success, adapting to new challenges, and bringing energy to the workplace?

You'll operate as a senior leader alongside a counterpart manager who oversees scheduling and CRM operations- meaning your time and energy will be fully dedicated to high level contract management, client relationships, and leading site engineering teams.

What We Are Looking For We are seeking a switched on, pragmatic, and collaborative leader with strong technical grounding:
  • Experience: Proven track record managing PPM and reactive maintenance contracts, preferably across rail, road tunnels, highway networks, telecommunications, or heavy commercial M&E environments.
  • Leadership Style: Energetic, adaptable ("not stuck in their ways"), and focused on collective team goals. Experience direct managing supervisors and multi discipline engineering teams is essential.
Why Apply?
  • Industry Leading Perks: Every employee is invited on an all-expenses paid annual company trip away, featuring a black tie awards evening to celebrate success.
  • Team Culture: Regular quarterly social events, a friendly working atmosphere, and a truly modern approach to business management.
  • Structured Onboarding: A tailored 30/60/90-day plan ensures a seamless handover and structured client introductions, giving you full, independent ownership of the maintenance division within your first quarter.
  • Modern Culture & Flexibility: A collaborative, grounded environment where great work is recognized. While the role is office based to maintain team cohesion, hybrid options can be discussed for candidate profiles that really tick the boxes.
  • Support & Development: Fully funded continuous training, company laptop, PPE, and clear career progression opportunities within a scaling contractor.
Key Maintenance Manager Responsibilities
  • Contract Ownership: Drive end to end delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across transport, rail, tunnel, and commercial accounts to hit agreed SLAs.
  • Team Leadership: Line manage 2 Field Supervisors and direct teams of approx 8 to 10 total engineers, running monthly reviews, driving performance, and supporting technical competency.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main point of contact for core clients, leading regular contract reviews, performance reporting, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Commercial & Quality Control: Review engineer reports and certificates for accuracy (ensuring client issue within 3 working days), quote/convert remedial works, manage variations, and oversee timely invoicing.
  • Process Improvement: Introduce smarter, streamlined operational processes to boost efficiency across field delivery.
