Maintenance Planner - Automotive Industry

Location: Solihull
Contract: Fixed-Term
Hours: Double Days (Mornings/Afternoons), 37-40 hrs/week
Pay: -38.29/hr + overtime/weekend premiums
Salary Equivalent: -55.2k (37 hrs) / -57.5k (40 hrs)

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join a leading automotive manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating preventative maintenance activities, supporting operational performance, equipment reliability, and statutory compliance across production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage SAP/MAPS preventative maintenance schedules.
- Create and update PM plans, frequencies, labour hours, and job plans.
- Maintain the PMCR register.
- Coordinate statutory inspections and track defect reports through to completion.
- Attend planning and PM review meetings, assigning work via SAP.
- Support maintenance targets and PM completion rates.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety.

Requirements

- NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in maintenance planning within an automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of SAP/MAPS or similar maintenance management systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Confident communicator with the ability to challenge and influence where required.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
