Salary: £38,000 - £41,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:00 - 17:00

THE ROLE
As an Experienced Paint Sprayer / Prepper Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, refinishing, and painting accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer and industry-leading standards. You will work as part of a skilled bodyshop team to ensure every vehicle leaves the workshop with a flawless factory-quality finish and complete customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
andmiddot;Prepare vehicles for paint, including sanding, masking, priming, and panel preparation
andmiddot;Mix and apply water-based and solvent-based paint systems to manufacturer specifications
andmiddot;Carry out full and partial resprays, colour matching, blending, and polishing to a high standard
andmiddot;Inspect completed work to ensure a flawless finish and rectify any imperfections where required
andmiddot;Work closely with Panel Technicians, MET Technicians, and Workshop Controllers to ensure efficient vehicle throughput
andmiddot;Maintain paint equipment, spray booths, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
andmiddot;Follow manufacturer repair methods, bodyshop quality standards, and Health & Safety procedures
andmiddot;Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining exceptional workmanship
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Paint Sprayer / Prepper Technician who takes pride in producing outstanding finishes and consistently delivering first-class workmanship.
andmiddot;Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Prepper, or Paint Technician within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
andmiddot;Ideally IMI and/or ATA qualified (advantageous but not essential)
andmiddot;Strong knowledge of modern paint systems, colour matching, blending, and refinishing techniques
andmiddot;Experience preparing vehicles for paint to the highest standards
andmiddot;Ability to carry out both preparation and paint spraying duties efficiently
andmiddot;Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality finishes
andmiddot;Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment
andmiddot;Strong team player with a positive, professional attitude
andmiddot;Full UK Driving Licence preferred
