Job Details

Major Main civil engineering and infrastructure contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to take a hands-on delivery role on a significant infrastructure project. Working on a contract basis as a freelance Ltd company, you'll report to a Senior Project Manager and own the day-to-day management of complex civil engineering works.

• Lead day-to-day delivery of civil engineering works on a major infrastructure project, with ownership of key workstreams
• £400 to £500 per week, contract role on a freelance Ltd company basis
• Hands-on position coordinating site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders, with the opportunity to lead in the Senior Project Manager's absence

Preferred Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar delivery-focused role within civil engineering or major infrastructure projects
• Strong technical understanding of civil engineering works and the ability to manage site-based delivery confidently
• Demonstrated experience leading site teams, managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple workstreams simultaneously
• A hands-on approach with a strong focus on delivering works safely, efficiently and to quality and programme requirements
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership and make decisions under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in civil engineering with experience on highways or road infrastructure projects highly advantageous
• Relevant project management qualifications or certifications in construction or infrastructure delivery
• Demonstrable experience monitoring project performance, identifying risks and maintaining delivery momentum on complex schemes
