Senior Social Worker - Family Help (Permanent)

Location: Sandwell, West Midlands
Salary: £44,253 - £49,817 (dependent on experience)
Retention Payment: £2,500
Contract: Permanent

Pro Social Partners are working in partnership with Sandwell Children's Trust to recruit experienced Senior Social Workers into their Family Help teams.

The Role

• Hold a caseload of more complex work and act as a source of practice expertise for the team.
• Support, mentor and co-work with newly qualified and less experienced colleagues.
• Hold a caseload of children and families within the Family Help service, working across Child in Need and Child Protection.
• Complete high-quality assessments, plans and reports within statutory timescales.
• Work in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals to reduce risk and create lasting change.
• Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, child protection conferences and core groups.
• Ensure the voice of the child is central to all assessments and planning.

About You

• A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care, ideally in Family Help, CIN or CP.
• Sound knowledge of Working Together to Safeguard Children and statutory processes.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
