Steel Welder / Fabricator - Bilston
Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting experienced Steel Welders / Fabricators to join the expanding team of a leading manufacturing business in Bilston (WV14).

You'll play an important role in fabricating and welding mechanical components, products and structures using a range of tools and equipment, ensuring all work meets high industry standards.
WELDERS:
- Hours of Work - Monday to Thursday: 07:00-15:45 & Friday: 07:00-13:00 paying £16.32 per hour
OR
- Hours of Work - Monday to Thursday: 15:30 till 01:15 paying £16.32 per hour + £25.00 daily shift allowance
FABRICATORS:
- Hours of Work - Monday to Thursday: 07:00-15:45 & Friday: 07:00-13:00 paying £17.85 per hour
OR
- Hours of Work - Monday to Thursday: 15:30 till 01:15 paying £17.85 per hour + £25.00 daily shift allowance
THE ROLE:
As a Steel Welder / Fabricator, your responsibilities will include:
- Fabricating highway products and infrastructure to specifications and industry standards
- Carrying out MIG welding as required
- Operating an overhead crane to safely lift, move and position materials
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Inspecting finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards
- Carrying out routine checks and basic maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment
- Following all Health & Safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Supporting with additional duties as required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Previous Steel Fabrication experience
- Previous MIG Welding experience
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience operating overhead cranes
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety practices within a fabrication environment
